It seems like the Droid Incredible has been swallowed up by the launch of so many great phones recently, but that doesn’t mean it’s not still kicking around! The video below shows the Droid Incredible hooked up to a car, and replaces the dedicated GPS navigation with the Android experience – the entire Android home screen as well as all apps and, in fact. With a simple cable, which seems to be well worth the money, you can...

I’ve had the weekend to play with the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro , and am so far pretty happy with it. There’s a lot that I’ll save for the full-blown review later this week, but here’s a quick warm-up. The X10 Mini Pro’s software is miles better than the original, larger Xperia X10 . It is smooth and responsive, making me actually want to use Timescape. Mediascape wasn’t included, but I don’t...

The as-yet unreleased BlackBerry Curve 9300 has already been caught in still pictures , and now there’s some new hands-on video to go with it. T-Mobile branding is bright as day, providing us with at least one carrier who we know will pick it up. That’s about the only new thing we learn from the video; it’s loaded with OS 5.0, as we had seen before , and based on earlier looks, we’ve gathered that the BlackBerry Curve...

Apple is officially launching the iPhone 4 tomorrow morning, but we’ve already got our hands on the brand new smartphone from the Cupertino-based smartphone maker. So, naturally, we had to unbox the iPhone 4 and put our grubby hands all over its pristine glass-and-steel package. The next step was to jot down our initial thoughts on the device and…  Read More →

The wonderful mind behind the Spirit Jailbreak has been working hard to get Flash on the iPhone, and have some preliminary results to show. As you can see, Homestar Runner and All Your Base run relatively well, although the prior wasn’t exactly perfect. This video adds up against Apple ( NSDQ: AAPL )’s claims that Adobe’s interactive multimedia standard isn’t on the iPhone for technical reasons , although it’s unlikely...

Sprint HTC EVO 4G ! There, do we have your attention? Of course we do, it’s hard to ignore the phone that has proven to be the hottest Android kit for the foreseeable future. Following our official, comprehensive review of the EVO 4G earlier today, we thought we’d show you what kind of videos the EVO can produce. With the 8-megapixel rear-facing camera crunching out multi-megabyte images with aplomb, we wanted to know how the video...

“People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it” seems like a concept a little far-fetched for us techies bent on the hard specs, but TED Talks speaker Simon Sinek makes a good case for it, especially when applied to Apple ( NSDQ: AAPL ) and the iPhone . I kind of resent putting them on the same pedestal as Martin Luther King and the Wright Brothers, but the logic is largely sound. Basically, Sinek proposes that people...

The happenings and events surrounding the next gen iPhone over the past month or so may leave one shaking their head . I know I do. Call it the iPhone 4G , iPhone HD or iPhone 4 , I really don’t care… What I do care about is the super-fantastic announcement that we’ll take in at WWDC 2010 this June. With the Worldwide Developers Conference coming up on us fast, (June 7-11 in San Francisco) production of the next iPhone is no...

If you’ve got a jailbroken iPad, a copy of snes4iphone, and a WiiMote, have I got a doozy for you this morning. Check out the video above. It shows off a jailbroken iPad running the popular SNES emulator, with Super Mario World in full-tilt. Awesome. But what makes this even sweeter is the controls. The Nintendo Wii Remote (WiiMote) is used to navigate Mario around each level. It’s like having a portable SNES system right on your...

I always love it when good folks out there take today’s technology, and integrate it into their lives in a different way. Take Alan Daly and his iPad . Sure, he loved the ‘magical’ device, but he wanted to take his love to a new level, and display it for all to see in what is surely his favorite room in the house… the kitchen. As you’…  Read More →

RIM just announced their latest BlackBerry ( NSDQ: RIMM ) smartphone, the BlackBerry Bold 9650, and we’ve gone hands-on with the handset at WES 2010. The new Bold 9650 is the first BlackBerry Bold for CDMA networks, like Sprint ( NYSE: S ), and it’s packing all the high-end goodies that we’ve seen in the Bold 9700. There are some differences, though. The Bold 9650 sports some upgraded hardware. Namely, the 512MB of RAM doubles...

There are a lot of unknowns fueling iPhone 4G/HD-related rumors right now, but we’re of the mindset that there’s always room to add more fuel to the fire. The latest bit of speculation on the next-generation iPhone hardware has to do with its display. We’re already expecting the iPhone HD to sport a slightly larger, and higher-resolution (940×640) display than the current-generation iPhone 3GS. Now, we’re hearing that...

There’s no doubt in my mind that the iPad is a polarizing topic. Those that love it, love it a lot… and those that hate it, well, they seem to hate it a lot. However, for those that fall in the ‘lover’ category, it hasn’t really mattered what your occupation is, what your passions are, or heck, even how old you are. Take a look at the video above. This is 100 year-old Virginia. Her family purchased a new iPad for...

Seeing as how the iPad’s display is almost three times larger than the one on the iPhone , we wondered how well the tablet would work in direct sunlight. The harsh direct light tends to wash out many eletro-gizmos’ displays, so we decided to put the Apple ( NSDQ: AAPL ) iPad to the test in our own direct sunlight demo video. The video here is quick and dirty, so we’re going to keep this post brief. What you see is the iPad...

Curious about what kind of madness that surrounds a retail launch of a hot new Apple ( NSDQ: AAPL ) product, but can’t get yourself to stand in line for hours on end? Missed our 16 hour livecast of the iPad launch lines at the Palo Alto Apple Store, did you? Well, you’re in luck! Thanks to the magic of HD video, you can get a feel for what …  Read More →
